Travel & Transport

expand expand

PLAN YOUR TRIP

We STRONGLY recommend that you do not drive to the events. Parking is extremely limited in the surrounding neighborhoods, reserved for residents, and strictly enforced. There is NO general event parking, and attempting to park in surrounding neighborhoods may result in a ticket or tow. To avoid the hassle, we highly recommend using alternative transportation options like event shuttles, rideshares, Muni, BART, walking, scooters, or bikes as the smoothest and most stress-free way to get to the shows.

Overnight stays in the park or in any vehicles are strictly prohibited. No exceptions.

DROP OFFS

If you’re planning on getting dropped off at Outside Lands, please know that some streets will be congested or closed entirely to traffic. You can expect nearby streets to be especially congested before and after the event. For this reason, we suggest you get dropped off several blocks north or south of the park. We recommend Geary Blvd or Balboa St to the north, or Irving Street to the south.

The SFMTA’s Slow Streets program is designed to limit through traffic on certain residential streets and allow them to be used as a shared space for people traveling by foot and by bicycle. There are several slow streets in the immediate area, which will further impact vehicular traffic.
